Signority, a carbon neutral company, follows a sustainability strategy, maintains a sustainability report that highlights progress & achievements in areas of environmental and social impacts, and supports sustainability through the following policies and practices:
Green by Design
eSignature services are fundamentally about providing trusted, environmentally friendly business services, through the use of Clean Technology, by digitizing customers’ documents and providing signing processes from end-to-end, eliminating environmentally damaging traditional “print, sign, scan and email/fax” processes.
Thus, Signority’s core business helps its customers collectively save:
- Thousands of carbon absorbing trees that would otherwise be used to produce paper.
- Thousands of gallons of harmful printer ink.
- Thousands of unfriendly printer components from ending up in landfills.
- Thousands of gallons of carbon creating gasoline and diesel fuel used to ship paper from one business to another, each and every year.
Virtual Office, Real Impact
- We have a policy to allow all employees to work from home.
- We do not own, lease, or rent a physical building.
- We promote “set 1 degree higher of your air conditioner in the summer ” and “set 1 degree lower of your thermometer in the winter” at home offices.
Green Technology and Operations
- All customer billing is electronic rather than paper based.
- Business applications are hosted on a green web hosting service provider. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is focused on efficiency and continuous innovation across its global infrastructure. It is on a path to powering its operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025.
- By purchasing carbon offsets, we cover our already very low carbon footprint.
- Customer onboardings involve a performance KPI, focused on monitoring electronic signature adoption to drastically reduce enterprise customers’ paper consumption.
- By using our own eSigning technology together with cloud information storage, electronic (rather than in-person, commuter based) collaboration, and electronic email communications, we maintain a virtually paperless office environment. Every employee’s email signature has a slogan of “Please think before you print this email”.
