Signitory’s Legality
Signority Inc. strictly abides by laws, regulations, and contracts for data access.
Signority is committed to full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and valid contractual agreements pertaining to information access. The guidelines outlined below are provided for the benefit of our customers and third parties, including law enforcement or the media, seeking information under various circumstances.
The Process
Signority may disclose both business and personal information in response to valid requests that align with our Terms of Use, enterprise customer contracts, Data Processing Agreements, Privacy Statement, and other relevant agreements. Such disclosure is also permitted in response to official, valid, and applicable subpoenas, search warrants, or court orders. Additionally, Signority may release general, non-sensitive, public information to support media requests.
Sources of Information and the Release Process
Prior to requesting information pertaining to a specific organization (i.e., customer) or their user(s) from Signority, requestors are encouraged to engage the respective Signority customer, where applicable. This is because the customer initiates all eSigning-related transactions and holds the original ‘source of truth’ concerning the requested information. Due to encryption processes, Signority may be unable to scan, search, or retrieve specific customer information, whereas customers can access such information through their Signority eSignature Platform administrative console.
Signority will not disclose customer information in response to government requests unless legally obligated to comply with a valid and binding order. Unless legally restricted or there is a clear indication of illegal conduct related to the use of Signority services, customers will be notified before any information disclosure.
In cases where a requestor necessitates Signority Inc. to provide specific information, the requestor must formally serve Signority Inc. with a legal order to our corporate headquarters address as listed on Signority.com. The request should clearly identify the Signority customer and user(s) and provide sufficient information about the nature of the information being sought. Such access requests should not be conveyed via email; however, initial non-sensitive information may be shared by sending a concise overview of the request to compliance@signority.com. Alternatively, the requestor can contact us using the phone numbers provided on Signority.com.
Upon receiving a legal order, Signority Inc. will confer with the respective customer(s) involved, following contractual requirements, unless legally prohibited.
Signority may disclose specific information in response to an emergency disclosure request when there is a genuine belief, in good faith, that imminent injury or death is at risk.
Reimbursement of Costs and Legal Consultation
Signority may request reimbursement of costs incurred while responding to information requests, as provided by legislation or regulation or as necessary to support substantive requests. In such cases, Signority will furnish a cost estimate and seek approval before proceeding. Customers are strongly encouraged to consult their legal advisors to comprehend the legislation and regulations applicable to them.
